What does Close Contact body scrub smell like?
Close Contact has a warm, slightly sweet fragrance -- driven by brown sugar and the natural aromatic qualities of coffee grounds. The pheromone-infused base adds a subtle personal dimension that interacts with your body chemistry, making it slightly different on every individual. The overall scent profile is clean, warm, and grounding -- appropriate for a shower product that leads into your main grooming routine.
How is Close Contact different from a regular body scrub?
Most body scrubs do one thing: exfoliate. Close Contact does two: it exfoliates with brown sugar and coffee grounds, and conditions simultaneously with shea butter and avocado oil so the skin is soft immediately after rinsing -- not stripped and tight. It also contains dermatology-grade active ingredients that standard scrubs do not: Centella Asiatica for barrier repair, retinyl palmitate for cell turnover, prickly pear oil for antioxidant protection, and Vitamin C for tone-evening.
How often should I use Close Contact?
2-3 times per week is the recommended frequency. Using a physical exfoliant daily can over-exfoliate the skin, compromise the skin barrier, and cause irritation. The ideal routine: use Close Contact every other day or every two days, and apply your KXNG body butter on all days -- including non-scrub days. The combination of exfoliation and consistent daily moisturizing produces the best skin results.
Should I use the body scrub before or after body butter?
Before. Always exfoliate before moisturizing -- never after. Exfoliation removes the dead skin layer, which allows your KXNG body butter to absorb at the correct skin layer and hydrate more effectively. Applying body butter first and then scrubbing removes the moisturizer you just applied. The correct order: Close Contact in the shower, rinse thoroughly, pat damp, then apply body butter immediately while skin is still slightly damp.
Can I use Close Contact on my face?
This formula is designed for the body -- particularly rough zones like elbows, knees, heels, and the back. The coffee grounds are coarser than most facial exfoliants and may be too abrasive for facial skin, particularly sensitive or acne-prone complexions. For body use, it is suitable for all skin types. For facial exfoliation, a dedicated facial scrub with finer granules is recommended.
Can Close Contact help with dark elbows and knees?
Yes -- and this is one of its strongest applications. Dark elbows and knees are caused by a combination of dead skin buildup, friction, and hyperpigmentation in the skin cells beneath. Regular exfoliation with Close Contact removes the dead skin layer, which visibly reduces the darkened appearance immediately. The Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and prickly pear oil in the formula address the underlying hyperpigmentation over time. Most men notice visible improvement within 2-4 weeks of consistent 2-3x weekly use.
Is Close Contact safe for melanin-rich skin?
Yes -- specifically formulated with melanin-rich skin concerns in mind. The formula contains Centella Asiatica for barrier support, Vitamin C for hyperpigmentation, and prickly pear oil for antioxidant protection -- three ingredients particularly relevant for darker skin tones. The brown sugar exfoliant is gentle enough for daily-issue dry skin without causing the irritation that can worsen hyperpigmentation in melanin-rich complexions. Free from parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances.
Will Close Contact make my skin feel greasy after use?
No. The formula is designed to rinse clean. Shea butter and avocado oil condition the skin during the scrub, but the rinse step removes the bulk of the formula while leaving a thin, non-greasy conditioning layer on the skin. The result is skin that feels smooth and conditioned -- not oily or coated. If you experience any oily feeling, reduce the amount used per application.
Can I use Close Contact as part of a grooming routine with KXNG body butter?
Yes -- this is the intended use. Close Contact was designed to be the exfoliation step in a complete KXNG grooming routine. Use Close Contact 2-3 times per week in the shower to remove dead skin. On all days, apply your KXNG body butter while skin is slightly damp after showering. The scrub prepares the skin; the body butter maintains it. Each product makes the other work better. If you have a KXNG beard butter, apply Aura after the body butter for a complete head-to-toe routine.
What is the satisfaction and returns policy?
